Nokia has launched its latest flagship the Nokia 8 in India. The Nokia 8 is the first high-end smartphone from the iconic Finnish company since re-entering the smartphone market and comes with top of the line specifications, ZEISS certified dual cameras, an all-metal design, stock Android including its top-end Snapdragon 835 SoC.
Nokia 8 will be available for sale from October 14 onwards across retail outlets and online exclusively on Amazon India website at a starting price of Rs 36,999.
On the design front, Nokia 8 carries a single block of 6000 series aluminum body and has a curved metal design with a front-mounted fingerprint scanner. It also has an IP 54 rating, making it splash proof.
In terms of specifications, the Nokia 8 comes with a 5.3-inch 2K display along with Corning Gorilla Glass 5 protection on top. It packs in an octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 835 processor along with 4 GB of RAM and 64 GB of internal storage expandable to 256 GB via a micro-SD card.
The smartphone runs Android 7.1.1 Nougat out-of-the-box with a promised update to Android Oreo in the near future. It draws its juice from a 3090 mAh non-removable battery with quick charge 3.0 support
Other features are 4G with VoLTE, Bluetooth 5.0, GPS, Wi-Fi, NFC, barometer and USB Type C port and a 3.5mm headphone jack...Sensors on board include an accelerometer, ambient light sensor, barometer, digital compass, gyroscope, and a proximity sensor.
